In the early hours of october 26, 2023, Palestinian journalist Duaa Sharaf, host for the Radio Al-Aqsa, was killed with her daughter in a airstrike on her home in the Yarmouk neighborhood, in the Al-Zawaida area in central Gaza, according to Anadolu news agency, WAFA agency, Middle East Monitor and Women in Journalisme. Her death was confirmed by Voice of Al Aqsa Radio in a Telegram post, due to an Israeli airstrike that targeted her family's home.
Duaa Sharaf worked as a program presenter for the station in Al-Aqsa Radio, which is operated by political Hamas.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli fighter jets fired multiple missiles at a residence in the Al Zawaida area in the central Gaza which resulted in the death of journalist Duaa Sharaf and her child.
